Eligibility

Check your eligibility before applying for the programme. You should:

Plan Ahead for Graduation

Careful planning is needed!

Since the Co-op programme will take up at least one study semester in which you will not be able to take credit-bearing courses, you will need to make a decision about your projected time of graduation and think about how to make up the missing credits.

Your options:

  1. Make up the missing credits either by taking credit-bearing courses in the summer or taking additional courses and overload in a study semester. In this way you will be able to graduate without deferring.
  2. You may choose to defer your graduation which would involve a nominal tuition fee.

Students can consult the Co-op Office, and also their home faculties, Academic Advisors for advice in devising their study plans.

Preparation Modules

In preparation for working in a professional environment, students should complete the Career Preparation Modules (12 contact hours), offered by CEDARS, before starting your Co-op placement.  The Preparation Modules consist of two compulsory Training Modules (Modules 1 & 2) and a Coaching Module. These comprehensive training and coaching sessions are designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed for their work placement.

These modules can be completed any time prior to taking up the Co-op placement.
